On average, the Inspector will spend 2 1/2 to 4 hours observing and taking pictures for the report. A home that has more defects, will take longer. Mold, Air, and Water testing will increase the time. Infrared Thermal Imaging adds about 30-45 mins. Most other inspectors spend a maximum of 1 hour on a full home inspection.
During these crazy times, we are still allowing you to attend for a short time at the end of the inspection. Please see our COVID-19 Policy. Our inspector just asks if you are sick, have a fever, or have COVID-19 to stay home. We can offer a live feed or recording of the entire inspection.
We do not print on-site. You will receive it within 24 hours of inspection, via web link. If you would like a printed copy, we will send one to you via mail for an additional $10.00 per copy.
No we do not. Ike Paxton, CPI is bound by Ethical Standards of InterNACHI which do not allow him to perform any repairs on any properties he inspects. This sets him above the rest of inspectors, most inspectors will perform repairs on defects they find, which calls into question their honesty.
As of right now, we currently do not. We do however carry the Best Guarantee not offered by several inspectors in the Fargo/Moorhead area…Our Guarantee is that We’ll Buy Your Home if we missed anything that is in our SOP. This guarantee is backed by InterNACHI.
Our inspector is a licensed home inspector in North Dakota, (Lic. # 313) and has the required E/O Insurance by the State of North Dakota, along with General Liability Insurance. Minnesota does not require a home inspector to be licensed at this time.
Our home inspection is a record of the conditions the home is in at that particular date and time. We do not offer any warranties, expressed or implied about any system or component of the home. Unfortunately, any system or component can malfunction at any given time.
